PickRAW ("we", "our", "us") is a desktop application for sorting camera files. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
The short version
- PickRAW runs entirely on your computer. Your photos, videos, and camera files never leave your machine. We never see, access, upload, or store your files.
- We collect minimal data. The only personal information we receive is your email address and payment info when you purchase a license — and that's handled by our payment processor, not us.
- We don't track you. No analytics, no telemetry, no usage data is sent from the app.
What data we collect
When you purchase a license
When you buy PickRAW, your purchase is processed by LemonSqueezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC), our payment processor. Through this purchase, LemonSqueezy collects:
- Your email address
- Your payment information (credit card or Apple Pay)
- Your billing address
- Your name (if provided)
We receive your email address and a record of your purchase from LemonSqueezy so we can provide customer support. We never see or store your full credit card number. Payment processing is handled entirely by LemonSqueezy. You can review LemonSqueezy's privacy policy for details on how they handle payment data.
When you activate a license
When you enter your license key in PickRAW, the app communicates with LemonSqueezy's servers to verify the key is valid. This request includes:
- Your license key
- An instance identifier (a random ID that identifies your computer's activation — not your personal information)
This is the only network communication PickRAW makes. It does not send any other data.
When you use the app
Nothing. PickRAW does not collect analytics, usage data, crash reports, telemetry, or any other information about how you use the app. The app processes your files entirely on your local computer. No file names, folder paths, metadata, or image data is ever transmitted anywhere.
When you visit our website
Our website (pickraw.com) is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of normal web hosting. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services on our website.
How we use your data
The limited data we receive is used only for:
- License management — to issue, activate, and validate your license key
- Customer support — to help you if you have questions or issues with your purchase
- Purchase records — to maintain records of transactions as required by law
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We will never send you unsolicited marketing emails.
Where your data is stored
- On your computer: PickRAW stores your app settings, sort history, and license information locally on your machine in the app's data folder. This data never leaves your computer.
- With LemonSqueezy: Your purchase and license data is stored on LemonSqueezy's servers. LemonSqueezy is based in the United States and processes data in accordance with their privacy policy.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Delete your data — request that we delete your personal data
- Correct your data — request corrections to any inaccurate information
- Data portability — receive your data in a standard format

Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. License keys are stored in an obfuscated format on your local machine. All communication between the app and LemonSqueezy's servers uses HTTPS encryption. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
PickRAW is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
